* Heredity is thought to be one of the causes of depression.

* It may be a result of physical diseases.

* An unsafe way of living with less exercise, many stimulants such as coffee or tea can also be one of the causes.

* Pregnancy and giving birth is physically and emotionally tiring, and it may exhaust the body nutrients that usually result in depression.
