Can you answer Wicked Bad Nonsense’s question about Depression?:
Can someone tell me what the possible side effects could be if a person drinks too much alcohol while taking antidepressants? Is there be a change in mood or mental state?

Why Am I Depressed

Depression Feedback: It completely counteracts that antidepressant. If you are on an anti depressant, it is because you have depression. It is a depressant……it will make you depressed. I know my moods tend to be off for almost a week after drinking. Why it is a very rare occurance.
And if you are talking about getting drunk……everyone has a”how they are when drunk” state. Some people mellow out, some people get silly/fun, some people get angry or violent………Adding another drug (ie perscription psych meds) can change that state. Someone that typicaly silly/fun when drunk could end up being angry or violent.
Secondly, it depends on the drug, but many meds have very bad interactions with alcohol. I know i am on welbutrin, which lowers the threshold for seizures…..so it can cause seizures in someone that has never had them. Drinking alcohol while on it lowers the threshold even more, making it even more likely to have seizues….and the more alcohol, the more likely to cause a seizure. And that is just an example of this med im on.
Depression Feedback: lets see in simple english, Death ,Seizures ,Medicines not work, etc,,should I go on ,alcohol mixed with medications is one of the worse things you can do, PLEASE do not take this mixture, DO NOT do this-
